All our professionals at The Healthy Smile Center maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.

Dr. Crombie graduated from Ashtabula Harbor High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He returned to Ashtabula to join his father, Robert B. Crombie, DDS, in their newly remodeled dental office. A year later, they were joined in practice by Dr. Crombie’s wife, Debra A. Balogh-Crombie, DDS, whom he met in dental school.

Continual growth of their respective practices allowed for the construction of The Healthy Smile Center. Dr. Crombie has taken substantial postgraduate training in orthodontics and served an instructor for international lecturer Dr. Brock Rondeau, helping to train other dentists in straightwire orthodontics and functional appliances. He enjoys performing surgical placement of conventional and mini dental implants to help secure dentures and for missing tooth replacement. Dr. Balogh-Crombie graduated from Strongsville High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at The University of Toledo. After receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, she married Dr. Martin Crombie. Their growing practices allowed for the construction of a state-of-the-art dental office located in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Committed to education, she pursued her postdoctoral orthodontic training through The International Association of Orthodontics. She was pleased to serve as an Instructor to Dr. Brock Rondeau in Washington, D.C. to help train dentists in Straightwire Orthodontics and Functional Appliances. In response to her patients need for comprehensive treatment, she continued her postdoctoral education by completing intensive training in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain through The Institute for Advanced TMJ Studies, directed by Dr. Steven Olmos, with additional training by Dr. Harold Gelb. She is pleased to provide this treatment to her patients for headaches and TMJ disorders.
